Job Description
A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Bristol is seeking a passionate Food Technology ECT to join its forward-thinking Technology department from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher to begin their career in a school that values practical learning, student wellbeing, and a diverse, engaging curriculum. Food and Nutrition is a popular subject at both KS3 and KS4, and the department benefits from purpose-built teaching kitchens, a strong focus on healthy eating, and excellent support from senior leaders. As a Food Technology ECT, you’ll: * Teach Food and Nutrition across KS3 and KS4, with full schemes of work provided * Support student progress through practical lessons, demonstrations, and coursework guidance * Promote cooking and sustainability through enrichment clubs and competitions * Contribute to cross-department health and wellbeing projects ECT support includes: * A dedicated mentor and weekly development meetings * Full access to CPD through school and local teaching alliances * Clear pathways for curriculum and career progression * Time for reflection, lesson planning, and team collaboration What we’re looking for: * QTS (or expected by July 2025) * A degree in Food Technology or a related subject * Enthusiasm for food education and hands-on learning * Commitment to health, safety, and inclusive education * Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) If you’re passionate about food, learning, and making a difference in young people’s lives, apply now for an September 2025 start in Bristol
