Our services include open-heart surgery and a wide range of specialties. We give advanced care to critically ill patients. We offer emergency services at our main emergency room (ER). We also have a pediatric ER and two freestanding ERs. Together, our team has an unwavering conviction to improve more lives in more ways.Job Summary and QualificationsJob Summary: We are seeking a dynamic ICU RN to join our team. We need a compassionate and reliable RN to provide care for patients that need close monitoring and frequent assessments. In this role you will be required to make clinical assessments of situations and manage treatment autonomously. You would be part of a phenomenal team that works hard to support each other while providing excellent care to our patients in a collaborative manner What will you will do in this role: Serve as the patient and family advocate, protecting privacy and confidentiality Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions Provide high focus care with a commitment to continuous improvement Job Requirements: 1 year of acute care Critical Care RN experience. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required:- If a candidate has 3 or more years of experience as an RN and if they have their compact license (They ll still need to apply for the FL license) we can consider and move forward. - If a candidate has less than 3 years of RN experience, they ll need to take the NCLEX in FL and once they pass we can consider (This is if candidates do not have a FL RN License) BLS required ACLS required within 6 months of hire BSN is preferred CCRN preferred What qualifications you will Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start dateBasic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateNonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start dateTrauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 90 days of employment start dateRegistered NurseAssociate Degree BenefitsHCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
