Lifestyle Coordinator – Care Home Hours: Full time Location: Wyberton / PE21 7NT Are you passionate about improving the lives of others and making a real difference? We have an exciting opportunity for a Lifestyle Coordinator to join a reputable care home, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and happiness of our residents. As a Lifestyle Coordinator, your role will be similar to a concierge or “buddy,” acting as a go-between for residents and the management team. You will be responsible for ensuring that every resident has a positive, smooth transition into the care home and is well supported throughout their time with us. * Resident Liaison: Serve as a listening ear for residents, addressing their concerns, needs, and queries while fostering a warm, supportive environment. * Personal Connection: Build meaningful relationships with residents to ensure they feel welcome, valued, and at home. Get to know their preferences, hobbies, and personalities. * Celebrations & Special Occasions: Keep track of residents' birthdays and special events, ensuring the kitchen and activities team are informed, and help organize celebrations. * Family Communication: Maintain regular contact with residents’ families, providing updates, sharing photos, and assisting with any special requests such as birthdays or personal matters. * Activity Support: Help residents access and participate in activities, ensure they receive weekly schedules and newsletters, and help facilitate personal shopping trips or appointments as required. * Social Engagement: Encourage residents to engage with one another, helping to organize events like tea parties or coffee mornings. Identify and coordinate additional activities with the Activities Coordinator. * Well-being Support: Use the lifestyle budget to brighten someone’s day with thoughtful gestures, such as flowers or a coffee outing. * Marketing and Community Engagement: Actively promote the care home’s positive reputation within the local community.
