Veteran Health Indiana is actively seeking an excellent Emergency Medicine physician to join our established program in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. Position highlights: High-complexity VA Medical Center with Surgery, Radiology, Cardiology and Mental Health services in house Access to Clinical Pharmacists onsite and bedside ultrasound available High-performing, high-quality, patient-focused team Level 1 Stroke Center Opportunity for teaching and academic appointment Approximate volume: 26000 annual visits from Veterans utilizing their earned benefits Variety of 12-hour shifts available and scheduled quarterly Approximately 12 shifts per month No employment contracts or significant outside work restrictions Located in vibrant and affordable Indianapolis, Indiana Qualifications: MD or DO degree Completion of ACGME accredited Emergency Medicine residency BE/BC American Board of Emergency Medicine Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package: Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 50–55 days (8-hour shifts estimated) of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible up to 5 day paid absence for CME. Opportunity for paid Parental leave.
