Strategy Operations Manager To support the MD and Mexico SLT, review and analyse the business, operations and processes, across functions and across the region. Use findings to help solve problems and improve management. Help the Mexican and LATAM leadership team operate at maximum effectiveness, and to identify & develop cross-functional initiatives (cost revenue and risks) and opportunities across our five markets. This role will be based in Mexico. Key Responsibilities Identify and develop strategic initiatives which make a meaningful impact to the Mexican and LATAM business, working with functional leaders to substantiate and implement; recent examples include: How can we expand our events business across the region? How can we create a performance culture & digital output focus in our newsrooms? What should we think about the introduction of registration walls across our sites? Which new brand launches show the greatest promise for CN Mexican? Help implement our overarching strategy (short/mid/long-term) for the Mexican and LATAM business, ensuring all functions are accounted for. Act as a strategic partner to our functional leaders, offering them a sounding board for key strategic issues and helping them find solutions Lead the collection of data from our five markets to inform timely and accurate management information flows, across the range of KPIs which contribute to the success of our business Lead the development of exec-level reporting, ensuring we accurately reflect the progress of the Mexican business - championing successes and highlighting risks. Act as representative of the Mexican leadership team - and advocate for the interests of the European region - in projects and work streams led by other functions (e.g. Global Product & Technology, Editorial) Bring to bear best practices from comparator orgs both within and outside media & publishing to ensure we continue to learn and develop as an organisation Support the development of internal comms and engagement activity for our teams in partnership with our Global & Local People & Communications teams to boost employee satisfaction and promote a culture of collaboration and ultimately impact our business goals.
