Join our TAS team as a Utility Worker, supporting remote mine sites with hospitality services on a DIDO basis. Our clients have developed service solutions for remote sites to meet their clients needs for hospitality, comfort, safety, and well-being at each stage of their projects. Your new role We run a large casual pool of staff to supply a range of hospitality services to our mine sites, and we are currently looking to onboard several experienced Utility Workers / Kitchen Hands with DIDO or FIFO experience. In this role, you will be assisting in a busy commercial kitchen environment on a remote mine site in Tasmania. Whilst working on site, your shift pattern will be a week of day shifts followed by a week of night shifts, supporting Chefs who supply breakfast, lunch & dinner to up to 1000 people every day. These roles are for experienced DIDO / FIFO Kitchen Hand candidates who are well-versed in remote work and for candidates looking for ongoing opportunities.Experienced DIDO and FIFO chefs or cooks are also welcome to apply, as we may need additional support in these roles. Whilst you are primarily there to assist in the kitchen, there may be occasions where you will be required to assist in several other departments, including: Housekeeping Mine Site cleaning Industrial Laundry Dining room sanitation Bar attendance (for RSA holders only) What you'll need to succeed You MUST have previously worked in a similar role, in remote areas with past Drive in Drive out experience.Drivers' license and reliable transportStrong work ethic and ability to work in a team.Flexibility to work day and night shifts.RSA certification (if applying for bar attendance duties).
