Operations Manager

ROLE: Operations Manager – Multi-Site Food Production SALARY: £40k performance-based bonus car allowance/company car LOCATION: Covering sites in Wimborne, Salisbury, and Portsmouth THE COMPANY: We are working with a leading seafood business with a proud heritage of supplying top-quality products to hotels, restaurants, and foodservice providers across the South for over 25 years. With continued growth and multiple production sites, they are now seeking a skilled and proactive Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across five key locations. DUTIES: Oversee and coordinate operations across 5 sites in Wimborne, Salisbury, and Portsmouth (head office, production facilities, wholesale units and a retail store) Ensure operational targets are consistently achieved in line with budgets and company standards Drive improvements in workflow, efficiency, and resource planning Uphold and develop robust food safety, health & safety, and quality systems across all sites Monitor and report on key KPIs and financial performance Support and develop site-based managers and teams, promoting a positive, accountable culture Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and senior leadership to align site goals with broader business objectives Lead initiatives for process improvement and cost control Ensure legal and regulatory compliance across all operational areas THE CANDIDATE: The successful applicant will have: Proven experience in a multi-site operations role, preferably within food manufacturing or distribution Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams remotely In-depth knowledge of food safety, production planning, and compliance requirements A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites as required Qualifications such as HACCP Level 3 or equivalent are highly desirable.
