Job Description
Job Description Job Description Full‑time • In-Person or Hybrid in San Francisco, CA • Salary Equity About Legion Health Legion Health is on a mission to deliver the best psychiatric care in the world—and to do it at scale. We're building a full-stack AI-native psychiatry network —our clinicians provide high-quality care directly to patients, and AI agents automate all parts of our care operations (e.g., scheduling, risk analysis, billing, etc.). Our vision? A patient experience that’s 10X better, more affordable, and higher-margin than ever before. Today, we're turning weeks-long wait times into same-day appointments, crafting seamless digital experiences in a broken healthcare system, and scaling a company that patients genuinely trust. The Opportunity We’re looking for a Founding Technical Growth Product Manager to lead the charge in building Legion Health’s patient acquisition, onboarding, and retention engine. You’ll design the full growth stack—strategy, systems, tools, and processes—to drive exponential patient growth and retention. From first-click attribution to long-term engagement loops, you’ll transform our AI-powered psychiatric care platform into a scalable, high-conversion, high-retention consumer health experience. You’ll collaborate directly with our founding team, growth lead, engineers, and clinicians. You’ll also own the technical side of growth, including analytics implementation, source attribution, onboarding instrumentation, and growth experiment architecture. What You'll Do Funnel Design, Instrumentation, & Optimization Design the entire patient journey funnel —from acquisition through onboarding, activation, and long-term engagement. Model and diagram the full user journey to identify friction points, drop-off stages, and time-to-value delays. Develop a structured tracking plan for every event in the onboarding funnel—specifying event purpose, event properties, and exact collection method. Collaborate with design and engineering to optimize layout, copy, and flow across mobile and desktop experiences. Replace fragmented tools and forms with a unified, event-instrumented onboarding experience . Enable behavioral re-engagement using event-triggered SMS/email communications (e.g. reminders to complete an intake or schedule a visit). Monitor funnel performance at every step to increase conversion and reduce drop-off. Ensure real-time data syncing into EMR and internal systems for downstream automation. End-to-End Analytics Stack Ownership Fully implement a modern analytics stack using: PostHog for product analytics and experimentation Google Analytics for acquisition insights Segment (or equivalent) for clean, centralized event collection Ensure all events are tracked client-side (clicks) and server-side (successes/outcomes) . Use this stack to power dashboards, experiments, attribution, and lifecycle communications . Source Attribution Build a source-of-truth attribution system for every patient: Attribute users by acquisition channel (e.g., Psychology Today, paid search, word-of-mouth, social, SEO). Integrate self-reported survey responses (“How did you hear about us?”) to enrich tracking data. Use PostHog’s full capabilities to backfill attribution when cookie/UTM data is missing. Ensure consistent UTM usage and campaign tagging across: All internal and external links (ads, emails, directory profiles) All landing pages and signup flows Create dashboards that tie attribution sources to downstream metrics like conversion to visit, CAC, and LTV. Centralized Metrics & Reporting Lead the consolidation of key KPIs —covering growth, revenue-cycle, clinical, and operations—into a unified analytics platform (PostHog). Define and implement data pipelines to calculate metrics such as CAC, LTV, funnel conversion rates, provider utilization, net collections, days in A/R, denial rates, and NPS. Design and maintain auto-refresh, role-specific dashboards with drill-down capabilities for cross-functional teams. Establish real-time alerting on critical thresholds (e.g., collections 8 %). Own ongoing data-quality audits and periodic reviews to ensure metrics remain accurate and actionable. A/B Testing & Experimentation Framework Implement tooling for A/B testing across key conversion points , including landing pages, onboarding screens, and communication flows. Design rigorous experiments with control/test logic, statistical significance thresholds, and clear success metrics. Test and optimize: CTAs Page layouts and messaging Eligibility flow structure Transactional and marketing emails Use experiment outcomes to guide product and growth roadmap. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work hand-in-hand with: Our Growth Lead , who currently generates high-quality leads from healthcare directories. Our engineering team , to build new funnel components and refine existing tools. Our clinical and operations teams , to ensure tech-powered growth doesn’t compromise clinical excellence. Our Designer , to execute UX/UI improvements that reduce friction and increase conversion. Success Metrics You’ll be measured on your ability to: Increase “touchless” conversion rates at key funnel stages (especially lead → intake → first appointment). Reduce time-to-value (e.g., signup to first appointment). Centralize and visualize growth metrics for the team using a modern growth stack. Create measurable increases in retention and NPS (Net Promoter Score). Identify and implement onboarding improvements that enable Legion to scale to 10,000 retained patients . What You’ll Bring 3 years in a growth-focused role , ideally at a B2C company in healthcare, subscription services, or telehealth. Proven ability to design and execute growth experiments that drive conversion, retention, and LTV. Deep experience with tools like PostHog, Segment, Amplitude, Mixpanel, etc . Fluency in A/B testing design, event instrumentation, and growth stack implementation . Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and project ownership . Strong product intuition paired with data-driven decision-making . Passion for improving access to mental healthcare and making patient experiences radically better. ✅ Bonus Qualifications Prior experience working in HIPAA-compliant environments . Familiarity with AI and machine learning applications in consumer products. Strong understanding of consumer psychology and behavioral design . Experience taking products from early traction to large scale (10k MAUs or $10M revenue). Experience building growth teams or internal growth playbooks . Compensation & Benefits Salary : $110,000 – $180,000 (based on experience) Equity : Competitive stock options Health Coverage : Full medical, dental, vision Time Off : Flexible PTO and vacation policy Work Setup : In-person/hybrid in San Francisco HQ Impact : Work on something that truly matters—in the lives of patients, families, and clinicians Why Legion? At Legion Health, you’ll join a team that deeply believes the future of mental health lies in combining clinical excellence with AI-driven operational innovation . You’ll build systems that make care radically more accessible, more efficient, and more human. You’ll help transform every patient’s first experience with psychiatry—and help us scale care that actually works . Compensation Range: $110K - $180K
