Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a strong background in hematology-oncology for a locum tenens opportunity in Waterford, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a variety of hematologic conditions, including benign hematology cases independently. Position Overview: Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Call Requirements: None Weekends/Holidays: No weekend or holiday shifts Setting: Outpatient hematology-oncology clinic Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care to patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions Independently manage benign hematology cases Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately and timely Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical protocols Qualifications: Licensure: Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Connecticut Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in hematology-oncology Certifications: Current BLS certification required Skills: Ability to manage benign hematology cases independently is strongly preferred Waterford is a charming coastal town in southeastern Connecticut, offering a blend of scenic beauty and community amenities.
