PATMI Partnership is supporting an ambitious and fast-evolving private investment and operating group - headquartered in Singapore - to appoint an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the next phase of financial transformation and value creation. The group holds strategic interests across four dynamic sectors: Game Technology, FinTech, Property Asset Management, and Hospitality , with operations and investments spanning Southeast Asia, Europe, and selected international markets. Backed by long-term family capital and private investors, the group has grown rapidly across both operating and platform investments. It is now entering a new phase of strategic scaling: institutionalizing governance, improving financial infrastructure, pursuing capital efficiency, and expanding its regional and global footprint. The CFO will serve as a trusted partner to the Group CEO and Board, taking ownership of enterprise-wide financial leadership while shaping a strong, future-ready finance organization. This appointment is being supported by PATMI Partnership , a Singapore-based HR advisory firm that advises on CFO succession, organizational alignment, and finance transformation across Asia-Pacific. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Financial Stewardship Lead the development and execution of a cohesive group-wide financial strategy , fully aligned with evolving business priorities across game technology, fintech platforms, real estate portfolios, and hospitality assets. Advise the CEO and Board on capital structuring, allocation models, and return-on-investment frameworks for both operating companies and investment vehicles. Partner with business CEOs to evaluate new markets, verticals, or products through rigorous financial modeling, risk-adjusted forecasting, and investment case development. Ensure capital is optimally allocated across businesses in line with long-term growth, liquidity, and shareholder value. 2. Group Finance Leadership & Operational Excellence Build and lead the centralized Group Finance Office , covering: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Treasury & Working Capital, Group Consolidation & Reporting, Tax Planning & Regulatory Compliance, Internal Controls, Audit, and Risk, Finance Systems & Automation Design and implement a multi-entity financial architecture , enabling consolidated group reporting and cross-vertical analytics. Lead transformation projects across finance operations, including ERP upgrades, automation, and digitization of reporting and treasury functions. Take charge of all capital markets activities , including debt financing, equity raising, and strategic investor engagement. Lead the structuring of investment vehicles and platform entities—whether for external LPs, JVs, or strategic partnerships—across real estate, fintech or hospitality verticals. Work with private investors, family offices, and institutional partners to ensure optimal access to growth capital, project finance, and alternative funding models. Actively manage relationships with financial institutions, advisors, and external auditors across jurisdictions. 4. Risk, Governance & Compliance Build a group-wide enterprise risk management (ERM) framework covering operational, financial, technology, compliance, and geopolitical risks. Oversee robust internal audit and control functions to ensure financial integrity and resilience across business units. Ensure compliance with IFRS, MAS regulations, tax laws, AML/KYC obligations (especially for fintech businesses), and local financial standards across international markets. Serve as the primary financial representative to regulators, auditors, and legal counsel on statutory, tax, or financial governance matters. Work closely with CEOs of operating businesses—across game tech, fintech, real estate, and hospitality—to ensure strong financial discipline and alignment with shareholder goals. Lead commercial negotiations and financial due diligence for M&A transactions, licensing deals, JV partnerships, and platform acquisitions. Introduce modern performance management tools, pricing strategies, and profitability models tailored to the dynamics of each business. Build a high-performing global finance leadership team , with clear responsibilities at group, regional, and business-unit levels. Foster a culture of strategic thinking, operational discipline, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Serve as a mentor and succession steward, developing internal leaders while integrating new external talent. Promote cross-functional integration between finance and technology, product, legal, HR, and commercial functions. Ideal Candidate Profile Experience 18–25 years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5–8 years as CFO or equivalent in multi-entity, growth-stage or private capital-backed environments . Proven track record in companies with exposure to technology-driven sectors (game tech or fintech), asset-heavy operations (real estate/hospitality), or hybrid investment platforms . Familiarity with both operating business models and investment holding structures , preferably in Southeast Asia or broader Asia-Pacific markets. Experience managing a multi-country, multi-regulatory financial environment. Strong understanding of IFRS, MAS and fintech regulatory frameworks, global tax structures, treasury management, and consolidation principles. Deep exposure to capital markets: private placements, project finance, convertible debt, and asset-backed structures. Financial modeling and valuation fluency; able to lead and challenge assumptions behind investment theses, business plans, or portfolio models. Experience deploying or overseeing ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc.) and digitizing finance operations. Leadership Attributes Strategic, commercially minded, and grounded in data-driven decision-making. High emotional intelligence and executive presence; able to engage credibly with founders, boards, and external stakeholders. Agile and resourceful leader with experience navigating unstructured or rapidly changing business environments. Discreet, trustworthy, and highly ethical; comfortable operating in family-controlled or confidential settings. Education & Professional Credentials Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional certification (CA, CPA, CFA) preferred. MBA or Master’s degree from a globally recognized institution is highly advantageous. Location The role is based in Singapore , which functions as the strategic, operational, and financial headquarters of the group. The CFO should expect periodic regional and international travel to support business reviews, investor meetings, or asset-level operations.
