Employer Description Private game reserve lodge Job Description Our client is currently looking for a creative, passionate and organized Head Chef to join their team and take full responsibility for delivering an exceptional culinary experience to their guests. Key Responsibilities: Plan and execute delicious, well-balanced meals using fresh, locally sourced ingredients Oversee all kitchen operations, including stock control, ordering, hygiene and safety standards Design and adapt menus to cater to guest preferences and dietary requirements Manage and train kitchen staff, ensuring high levels of performance and professionalism Maintain kitchen budgets and minimize wastage through smart procurement and stock rotation Collaborate with lodge management to ensure seamless guest service delivery Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a lodge, hotel or fine dining environment Formal culinary qualification preferred Valid drivers license an advantage Skills Strong leadership, communication and team management skills Passion for cooking with creativity, flair and attention to detail Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen best practices Comfortable working in a remote bush environment Benefits Live-In
