About the job Based at Mandarin Oriental, Milan within the Sales Department, the Associate Director of Sales - Middle East is responsible for overseeing the hotel’s sales strategy in the Middle East. The Associate Director reports to the Sales Director. Responsibilities of the Associate Director of Sales - Middle East include: Meeting and entertaining influential clients and ensuring follow-up on discussed details. Organizing and delivering familiarization site inspection trips for major clients. Working closely with key contacts and seeking new business to meet financial targets set in the annual sales plan. Attending local and overseas trade shows, hotel and tourist association meetings to identify market opportunities. Planning and executing sales trips to key market areas and identifying new potential markets. Assisting in formulating and implementing sales & marketing strategies to maximize room revenues in the Middle Eastern market. Responding to all inquiries from the Middle East market. Collaborating with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Regional Sales Offices and third-party organizations to maximize sales opportunities. Promoting other Mandarin Oriental properties and distributing sales leads effectively. Attending weekly departmental sales meetings. Monitoring competitors’ sales activities, building relationships, and reporting at sales meetings. Candidate profile We expect from you: Proven experience in the Middle East segment within the luxury hospitality industry. A passion for luxury experiences, excellent rapport-building skills, attention to detail, and adaptability to changing priorities. Proficiency in computer applications. Ability to work well under stress and maintain composure. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment. Established network of connections. Strong negotiation and customer relationship management skills. Willingness to travel abroad. Minimum 5 years of experience in a 5-star hotel sales environment.
