The Role: Head of Sales We are growing rapidly and seeking a Head of Sales based in Mexico City to lead our next phase of hypergrowth. Reporting directly to our CEO and partnering closely with our CPO, you will: Execute a scalable go‐to‐market strategy for the Mexican and broader LATAM foodservice markets. Hire, mentor, and inspire a team of Account Executives, Sales Development Representatives, and Sales Operations professionals. Drive revenue growth by setting targets and ensuring the team exceeds quota. Collaborate cross‐functionally with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to leverage market feedback, refine our value proposition, and optimize the funnel. Monitor KPIs , analyze sales performance, and iterate on processes to continuously improve efficiency and win rates. What You’ll Bring A fiercely competitive spirit and desire to win and exceed targets. Proven track record as both a salesperson and sales leader, preferably selling to SMEs and/or the foodservice space. Hands‐on experience scaling a sales organization from the ground up (hiring, training, territory planning, and reporting). Strong network within the Mexican foodservice ecosystem (restaurants, hotels, distributors) is a plus. Data‐driven mindset : comfortable setting targets, tracking metrics (e.g., GMV/revenue, pipeline velocity, CAC, LTV), and using CRM tools to guide decisions. Exceptional communicator : you can convincingly articulate Mercanto’s value proposition to customers. Collaborative spirit : you thrive in a fast‐paced, early‐stage environment and enjoy working closely with Product and Marketing to refine positioning.
