We are hiring a Junior Internal Auditor to join this strongly growing team in Barcelona. You will support audit teams in delivering high-quality audit services to a diverse portfolio of clients and countries. You will participate in the evaluation of internal controls and contribute to the delivery of value-added insights that enhance client operations, compliance, and governance practices. Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for coordinating a variety of activities across different functions: Assist in planning, execution and completion of internal audit engagements across various industries and clients. Support external audit teams with internal controls testing, walkthroughs, and documentation. Conduct fieldwork under supervision, including interviews, data analysis, and process reviews. Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and potential risks. Prepare audit working papers and contribute to internal audit reports. Collaborate with cross-functional audit teams (internal and external) on client engagements. Help ensure audit work complies with professional standards and firm methodology. Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations and report progress to senior staff. Build strong working relationships with client stakeholders. Your profile: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. 1–2 years of experience in internal or external audit, with a preference for internal audit experience. Experience within a professional services firm is a plus, but not required. Basic understanding of internal controls, risk management, and audit methodologies. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. Effective written and verbal communication abilities. Team player with the ability to adapt to different industries and client environments. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); familiarity with audit tools is a valuable but not mandatory. Fluency in English required; French is valuable.
