The Role We are looking for a field-based Business Development Manager. This is a rare opportunity to become a founding and critical member of a rapidly growing, well-funded startup. You'll liaise with Italy's most premium and highly regarded restaurants. As a member of the local sales team, your role will focus on developing new relationships with restaurants. This role is suited for an intelligent, motivated, self-starter looking to develop their sales career within a leading company in its market sector. More specifically, you will : Map, prospect, pitch, and close new restaurants across your region in a methodical and organized fashion, becoming a city-level expert including knowing the up-and-coming restaurants and those most in demand by customers. Assist restaurant owners/managers in overcoming barriers or hesitations. Attend restaurant and food meet-ups. Requirements You must be comfortable with targeting new business and have proven sales experience. Ability to persuasively demonstrate product and industry knowledge to clients is essential. Comfort with negotiations is required. Knowledge of the restaurant industry is a significant plus. You should be tenacious and self-motivated. We currently have two vacancies - one for Ancona and one for Treviso. Both are 12-month fixed-term contracts.
