Neurocritical Care Physician Associate Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Eastern North Carolina

About the facility A health system is seeking a neurocritical care physician assistant for locum tenens coverage. About the facility location Top sights in Eastern North Carolina to see include the Biltmore, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and the North Carolina Zoo! About the clinician's workday This assignment has inpatient responsibilities only. The clinician must have the ability to perform at the ICU level care as wel as respond to codes. There is no ER backup or call. Required certifications include ACLS and BLS. The EMR used is EPIC. There are around 20 inpatients per day with around 4 patients per clinician. There are 2 admissions per day. The list of procedures includes Arterial Lines, Central Lines, Lumbar Punctures, Vent Management. There is an established clinical neuroscience team of 10 neurosurgeons, including dual-trained cerebrovascular specialists and 20 neurologists including an interventional neurologist, 4 vascular neurologists, 4 Neurointensivist, and 13 subspecialty neurologists.
