Physician (MD/DO) - Anesthesiology in Berlin, VT

We are seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in Berlin, Vermont. This position offers a mix of solo cases and medical direction of CRNAs and AAs in a supportive community hospital setting. Candidates must hold an active Vermont medical license and be comfortable with both day shifts and 24-hour call coverage. Schedule: Regular Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM Call Shifts: 24-hour call (first 10 hours in-house, remainder home call based on caseload) Weekend home call as needed 20-minute response time required for all call shifts Call room available in-house Clinical Responsibilities: Mix of solo anesthesia and medical direction of CRNAs and Anesthesiologist Assistants (AAs) 2–3 rooms under supervision during call coverage Solo coverage for Endoscopy, OB, and Bronch cases during pre-call days General anesthesia for a variety of cases—no hearts or high-risk trauma Qualifications: Board Certified in Anesthesiology Active Vermont medical license (required) Prior experience in both solo and supervisory roles Must be comfortable with 24-hour call and flexible with scheduling Berlin offers a peaceful, small-town atmosphere with close access to outdoor recreation, scenic landscapes, and the cultural charm of nearby Montpelier.
