Description Your Role We are looking for a QUALITY & ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER for the new Affinity team, who will structure the new Mantova plant. Mantova plant is the new Affinity project and it represents a pivotal moment for the company: this new factory will focus on Wet production, opening new markets and opportunities for our group. The processes of structuring the plant are evolving, with a growing team dedicated to this challenge to support the ramp-up. This role will initially collaborate with our plant in Castelgomberto (VI) and then transition to the Mantova team once trials begin. The key responsibilities include providing leadership to the site in maintaining quality and environmental systems aligned with business objectives. The profile will lead the local QFSE Department, optimizing its contribution and influencing the factory's strategic plan and vision. Ensuring compliance with company targets and legislative requirements is also crucial. What you will do Contribute to developing the factory's vision and strategic plan, leading and developing the quality and environmental teams to maximize their potential. Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, quality, and food safety regulations. Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance performance and maintain consistent quality standards according to approved procedures. Support operations teams in managing quality, HACCP, and environmental systems to meet standards and legislative requirements. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within quality and environmental areas. Maintain and develop management systems, ensuring accreditation is retained. Build partnerships with suppliers, regulatory bodies, and government agencies for ongoing improvement. Develop and deliver site training in quality and environmental management, ensuring mandatory training is completed. Manage the quality and environmental budget to optimize costs and maintain competitiveness. Lead site waste, water, and emissions management strategies. Encourage collaboration across functions to drive performance improvements through benchmarking. What we are looking for At least 5 years of experience managing a Quality & Environmental Department, preferably in the Food or Feed sector. Higher education in food technology, chemistry, or health sciences. Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation. Proficiency in office programs; SAP experience is a plus. Advanced English skills. Knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000 standards. Strong communication, organizational, and training skills. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to think in possibilities while being aware of risks. Natural leadership qualities, motivating team players. Ownership, initiative, and conflict resolution skills.
