Were looking for a Lodge Accounting Officer to take ownership of the day-to-day and strategic financial operations at our lodge in the breathtaking northern region of Tanzania. This is more than just about numbersit's about building strong systems, supporting teams, and making a meaningful impact in a setting like no other. What Youll Be Doing: Day-to-Day Financial Management: Oversee and authorize lodge expenditureevery transaction matters. Accurately record daily transactions using PanStrat and other manual systems. Prepare supplier payment requests and assist with monthly payroll and reconciliations. Keep the ledger clean and queries resolvedyoull own the numbers. Reporting & Analysis: Produce accurate reports and help drive monthly finance meetings with local teams. Interpret management accounts and provide timely feedback to senior finance. Assist with compiling budgets, forecasts, and supporting audits. Stock & Asset Control: Monitor lodge stock levels and lead monthly stock takes. Ensure that all assets are accounted for and properly maintained. Implement regular internal audits and spot checksyour eye for detail will shine here. Training & Support: Support team members in understanding systems like PanStrat. Provide hands-on training for front office and lodge staff in basic accounting principles. Be the go-to person for any finance-related queries across the property. What Were Looking For: A Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA preferred). Minimum of 34 years of accounting experience. Comfortable with Microsoft Excel (you dont need to be an expert, but you do need to be confident). Previous experience using PanStrat is an added advantage. Strong command of English (spoken and written). This is a full-time , permanent role based at Kleins Camp in the Mara Region.
