About the Role As our Team Lead Forecasting & Planning, you'll be responsible for overseeing three key areas: Tactical Forecasting : Our Business Planners are working on our yearly and monthly forecasts, determining our potential order volume, efficiency, worked hours and hiring demand. Operational Forecasting & Planning: Our Operational Planning department focuses on the day-to day and weekly forecast and shift planning, linked to our tactical forecast. Daily and weekly order fluctuations need to be continuously reviewed. Business Analytics : Our Business Analysts focus on multiple business analyses of our overall Logistics departments, spotting trends and opportunities and supporting in defining a new strategy. You’ll become a key member of the Logistics Netherlands Management Team , who will be managing a team of roughly 15 people, including Business Planners, our Operational Plan team, and Business Analysts, while supporting their day-to-day activities. This role involves a mix of operational , tactical , and strategic responsibilities, and finding optimization within those responsibilities; future proofing sustainability of the business You'll enjoy a high degree of autonomy and the freedom to be creative and forward-thinking. Also, you will have the opportunity to build on your leadership skills and support a team of managers in doing their work and growing their and their teams’ skills further. It also requires large-scale organizational change capabilities in a fast-paced, demanding environment, while focusing on continuous improvement: e.g. optimizing the ideal contract mix and ideal vehicle mix for our courier fleet. These are some of the key ingredients to this role: Next to taking ownership of the performance of the end-to-end operational planning process, we also expect you to: Drive Operational Excellence : Take ownership of the end-to-end operational planning process, focusing on continuous improvement, such as optimizing the ideal contract and vehicle mix for our courier fleet. Bridge Local and Global Teams : Act as a key liaison between Local and Central Operations teams in Scoober NL, as well as between local and global Platform and Logistics teams, ensuring seamless collaboration. Shape Strategic Plans : Provide critical input for annual and midterm budgeting and contribute to our 3-year strategic plan, ensuring alignment with Local Operations for realistic and achievable outcomes together with our recruitment department. Translate Data into Strategy : Transform insights from Forecasting & Planning teams into long-term strategic and tactical plans, effectively communicating these to senior stakeholders and the Management Team. Challenge actions that deviate from the strategy. Innovate and Optimize : Lead initiatives to generate cost savings, innovate, automate, and standardize processes, sharing best practices across all countries or with global teams. Lead and Inspire : Manage, develop, and mentor a team of project managers, enabling them to achieve their objectives and advance their careers while leading multiple teams, including their managers. What will you bring to the table? 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in forecasting & planning (last mile logistics); Experience in directly leading impactful teams; Technical expertise, with problem-solving and data analysis skills; Familiarity with working in an international environment; Growth mindset with an analytical, data-driven, and creative approach to your day-to-day work; Experience in LEAN is a plus; Fluent in English (written and spoken) with excellent communication skills.
