The pediatric department is an integral part of this healthcare system, providing essential care to the youngest members of the community in a supportive environment. Opportunity: Pediatric Hospitalist This locum tenens position is for a Pediatric Hospitalist providing coverage on a recurring monthly basis. The role requires NRP certification and focuses on inpatient pediatric and neonatal care. Job Details: • 24-hour call shifts (6am-6am), not required to be in house • Coverage needed for August 16-20, with ongoing needs for 4-5 days monthly • Patient volume ranges from 1-7 encounters per shift • Must be board certified or board eligible within 3-5 years of residency • Active California license required • PALS certification required • Required skills include neonatal airway management and intubation, management of neonatal air leak/pneumothorax including needle decompression, emergent UVC placement, UVC/UAC placement, lumbar puncture, and EKG interpretation • Preferred skills include ventilator management and chest tube insertion for neonates • Credentialing timeframe approximately 30 days Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
