Physician (MD/DO) - Family Practice in Tucson, AZ

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Locums Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to support our premier value-based primary care group in Tucson, AZ. With four clinic locations throughout the city, our team is focused on delivering high-quality, relationship-driven care that emphasizes prevention, wellness, and patient engagement. This locum tenens position offers the opportunity to practice in a patient-centered, team-oriented environment without weekend or inpatient responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Conduct patient interviews, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations Deliver comprehensive medical care and chronic disease management Educate patients and families on wellness, prevention, and early detection Provide referrals to specialists based on patient needs and clinical assessments Participate in ongoing quality improvement and care coordination efforts Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other privacy regulations Provide after-hours call coverage as needed (minimal) Practice Highlights: 4 clinic locations across Tucson for flexible scheduling Work within a proven value-based care model that prioritizes outcomes, not volume Average patient load consistent with quality-focused care Support from experienced clinical and administrative teams EMR system in place for efficient workflow and documentation Qualifications: MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Unrestricted Arizona medical license (or ability to obtain) Active DEA license Tuberculosis screening required Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to collaborative, team-based care Tucson offers a unique mix of Southwestern culture, natural beauty, and affordability.
