Aci Health is actively seeking experienced and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurses. This position is ideal for nurses with a strong background in high-acuity pediatric care, particularly in trauma-designated hospitals. You’ll be part of a collaborative and fast-paced care team supporting some of the region’s most critically ill pediatric patients. Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a Level 1 trauma PICU • Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and coordinate care plans • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team • Utilize EPIC Electronic Medical Record (preferred) to document assessments, interventions, and outcomes • Educate families and provide emotional support throughout the care journey • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and evidence-based practices • Work independently with minimal supervision after brief orientation Qualifications: • Current NY State RN license • BLS certification required • Minimum 3 years of recent PICU experience (within past 2 years) in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center • Experience with EPIC EMR (preferred) • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills • No prior suspensions or investigations of professional licensure • Must not have been a named defendant in a professional liability claim • Must pass pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and criminal background check • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Start Date: 7/11 End Date: 10/08 Shift: Nights Hours: 3x12 ACI Health, a Fairfax, VA–based, Joint Commission–accredited staffing and consulting partner, deploys travel, contract, and permanent RNs, LPNs, and allied clinicians nationwide, supported by robust credentialing and MSP services.
