Electrical Technician

San Clemente Palace Venice is looking for an Electric Technician. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an Electric Technician located in Venice. The Electric Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical problems to ensure uninterrupted system operation, performing daily electrical tasks, and maintaining machinery and equipment throughout the hotel while residing in Venice. Your Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve electrical issues to maintain continuous system operation. Perform routine electrical maintenance on hotel equipment, including laundry, kitchen appliances, HVAC units, motors, pumps, fans, water purification systems, generators, lighting, telephones, televisions, fire safety systems, security equipment, and elevators. Use electrical test equipment to locate faults and perform preventive maintenance according to quality standards. Assist in fire protection equipment placement and be familiar with emergency and fire alarm procedures. Handle and store electrical equipment properly, report supply issues, and maintain records of equipment use and performance. Inspect equipment details, diagnose problems, and communicate with management for quick resolution. Use repair tools carefully and propose innovations to improve system efficiency. Prepare spare parts lists and participate in annual maintenance planning. Carry out repairs and maintenance across the hotel, including new installations and upgrades. Participate in training sessions and apply new knowledge to daily tasks. Coordinate high-level maintenance for guests and staff, troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical faults, and assist hotel staff and guests courteously. Ensure safe storage and use of equipment, adhere to safety and emergency procedures, and participate in safety trainings. Complete assigned tasks promptly, report defects, and manage time effectively. Participate in departmental meetings and report daily activities to supervisors. Report lost and found items per hotel policies, observe dress code, and adhere to departmental policies and safety standards. Install and repair electrical motors, transformers, generators, and circuits following safety standards. Understand labor organization, safety regulations, and fire protection procedures. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years relevant experience. Fluent in Italian and English. Graduated from a technical school related to electrical, electronics, refrigeration, steam generation, HVAC, or plumbing, or possess vocational training. Knowledge of electrical/electronic equipment, mechanical skills in plumbing and carpentry, and ability to work independently and in teams. Willing to learn continuously, attentive to detail, and responsible.
