Day-to-day of the role: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative food technology lessons to students of varying abilities. Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that includes food preparation, nutrition, and food science. Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a passion for the culinary arts. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and additional support where necessary. Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the educational experience and integrate interdisciplinary approaches. Maintain high standards of health and safety in all cooking and food preparation activities. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Degree in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, or a closely related field. Proven experience in teaching food technology at the secondary school level. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
