Catering Assistant Location: Preston Hours: Part-time (Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM) Hourly Rate: £12.60 Are you a proactive and reliable individual with a passion for preparing simple, tasty meals? We’re looking for a Canteen Assistant to join a friendly and supportive team in Preston. If you have a Level 2 Food Hygiene certification and experience in a busy kitchen environment, we’d love to hear from you! �?? Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of meals to a high standard. Ensure smooth canteen operations during peak times. Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised kitchen environment. Monitor stock levels and rotate supplies to reduce waste. Serve customers efficiently and manage transactions. Assist with menu planning and contribute ideas for daily specials. Support general canteen duties to ensure a successful daily service. ? What We’re Looking For: At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, ideally in a busy kitchen. Level 2 Food Hygiene certification (desirable). Confident cooking skills and the ability to prepare a range of dishes. Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
