Employer Description Our client is a global FMCG brand, specialising in cooking and food preparation equipment. Job Description To build, analyse, report, challenge and track the sales forecast vs. historical sales data & budget for core company brands for the South Africa region, with the objective of improving Customer Service with customer and confirmed forecast quality in line with the groups targets. MAIN OBJECTIVES / ACCOUNTABILITIES: To lead Internal & External Forecast Process, focusing on customer Fill rate, Stock on Hand, Off take sales reporting and Sell in/out forecast. Process is held monthly with top 10 customers. Improve Customer Service Setup, analyse and Measure Customer Fill Rate. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES: Ensure that each Customer receives a sales & operations report and meeting. Organize, facilitate and publish minutes from the monthly meeting with the Country Manger to review the country sales & operations information & ensure that actions are followed. Ensure that a realistic rolling 12-month forecast is maintained in SAP IBP. Identify gaps in the local and global processes that delay launches of new products. Ensure that plans to reduce slow moving & risky stock for the region are agreed, monitored and reviewed. Ensure that we are not overstocked with an agreed upon stock rotation target. Qualifications Qualification in Forecasting, Demand Planning. Degree in Supply chain management will be an advantage. Relevant work experience within a similar role (minimum 5 years). SAP HANA experience is a must. Knowledge of small appliances will be an advantage. Strong analytical background. Numerate with strong IT skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Fluent in English. A thorough understanding of the importance of the supply chain function and good commercial awareness. Proven ability to communicate effectively at senior management level. Experience dealing with a multinational company. Desirable: Degree or Professional Qualification in a relevant field. Experience of working with SAP, BW and IBP. Experience of working with a statistical forecasting tool.
