Finance Accountant with Oracle Cloud Financials

Job Description Responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures for the company at all times. Our Financial Accountant addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including General Ledger preparation, AP / AR Ledger Control Account Reconciliations, Financial Reporting, Forecast preparation and analysis, and Year-End Audit preparation. Main Duties and Responsibilities Assignment of tasks in all areas (accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting) of financial accounting. Calculation and posting of periodical GL Journals. Asset and lease management. Balance Sheet reconciliations, income and expenditure analysis, P&L analysis. Intercompany postings and reconciliations. Prepare monthly/quarterly financial reporting. Preparation and submission of monthly VAT and IC declarations and other statistics. Preparation of the interim and year-end audit and assisting in preparing the annual report. Assisting in the preparation of annual income tax returns. Preparation of quarterly/yearly forecasting reports with variance analysis. Sales analysis. Cost Centre controls. Oversee and manage internal retail financial audits. Assist in the conception, development, and implementation of new processes, procedures, and features to enhance the workflow of the department, while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Assist in the implementation of the global transition to Oracle Cloud Finance. Provide training to new and existing staff as needed. Qualifications Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting degree or similar qualification. Several years of professional experience in an international trading company or accounting firm. Analytical and numerical skills. Good to very good language skills in English and Italian. Good knowledge of MS Office. Experience with Oracle Cloud Finance (OCF) and Oracle’s Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Services (EPBSC). Ability to work with deadlines and multitasking. Flexibility and ability to work in a team. Knowledge of the Fashion or Footwear industry is desirable but not essential. Ability to travel occasionally based on business needs.
