Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Prepare a variety of high-quality pastries, breads, and desserts for daily service Ensure presentation and taste meet 5-star standards and guest expectations Work closely with the Head Chef to develop seasonal and occasion-based dessert menus Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the pastry section in line with health & safety regulations Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and reduce wastage Support training and supervision of junior kitchen staff when required Requirements: Minimum 23 years experience in a pastry role, ideally within a 5-star lodge or hotel Formal culinary or pastry qualification Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about fine desserts and presentation Good knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a remote bush environment Strong team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills
