Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant

Seeking a Locums Emergency MedicinePhysician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Position Details: Shifts per Month: 5-6 (flexible scheduling) Shift Length: 8-12 hours, depending on facility needs Setting: Busy Emergency Department Supervision: Collaborative environment with attending Emergency Medicine physicians Job Responsibilities: Provide care to patients of all ages in the Emergency Department Perform physical exams, order diagnostic tests, interpret results, and initiate treatment plans Manage urgent and emergent conditions within scope of practice Document all patient encounters accurately in the EMR Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to ensure quality patient care ED Features: 67,000 annual patient visits 44-bed recently renovated ED with fasttrack Level II Trauma Center Flexible scheduling - 11 hour shiftsDedicated pediatric ED Critical care sub-specialty support 1.45 patients per hour shifts are 7am-7pm, 7pm-7am Providers expected to take shifts ataffiliated FSED's in the area as well. Qualifications: Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP-C/FNP/ENP) Emergency Medicine experience required Active Florida license DEA license required ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications preferred Located along Florida's Emerald Coast,Fort Walton Beach boasts sugar-white sand beaches, beautiful turquoise waters,and a vibrant coastal community.
