About the position: The General Manager plays a pivotal role in sustainable and profitable sales growth, exceptional customer experiences, and premium services across all Lines of Business (LOB) of Bang&Olufsen . This role holds a 70% strategic focus on the Stage product line and related high-end services, while also ensuring strong performance across other selected business verticals. Mission To lead, coordinate, and continuously enhance the performance and collaboration of all functions within the business unit. Foster a culture of engagement, excellence, and accountability. Represent the company to authorities, clients, and strategic partners. Act as a brand ambassador for B&O in the region and ensure successful execution of business plans submitted to group management. Key functions: Strategic & Commercial Leadership Design and implement an omnichannel strategic plan (retail, e-commerce, and B2B) to align with corporate goals and deliver superior operational performance. Drive substantial growth of the B&O Stage Line of Business , ensuring world-class pre- and post-sales service experiences. Develop and oversee quarterly promotional and brand-building events targeting HNWIs; build and maintain a high-value CRM database. Lead strategic planning and execution of annual and monthly business plans and budgets , in alignment with entity supervisors and senior leadership. Operational Excellence Define and implement standard operating procedures , customer service protocols, and quality benchmarks across all channels. Oversee daily operations, setting clear KPIs, evaluating team performance, and driving accountability and productivity. Optimize inventory management , including forecasting, replenishment, and shrinkage control, ensuring product availability and profitability. Execute effective sales and margin strategies , achieving defined KPIs and expanding market share. Recruit, train, coach, and lead high-performing teams to exceed sales and customer service targets. Promote a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement . Foster an inclusive, respectful, and motivating work environment that supports individual and team success. Conduct regular market and competitor analysis , identifying opportunities for innovation, pricing strategies, and assortment improvements. Expand the omnichannel customer base and lead the development of new stores, including site selection and retail business modeling. Execute integrated marketing campaigns (digital and offline) to boost visibility, engagement, and conversion. Governance & Reporting Ensure compliance with all local regulations and corporate policies related to retail operations and personnel management. Maintain high security, safety, and operational standards across all retail sites. Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful business reports to functional and line managers. Actively contribute to corporate strategy and growth planning at both operational and financial levels. Qualification and skills: 5 years of Commercial and General Management experience in premium/luxury/consumer electronics/furniture retail business. Demonstrated success in growing brand equity and sales through strategic planning and operational execution. Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage teams across diverse functions and geographies. Deep understanding of luxury/premium customer expectations and how to exceed them through service and experience. Strong analytical mindset ; proficient in interpreting complex data sets and transforming insights into actionable strategies. Excellent communication and negotiation skills ; adept at relationship management across all levels. Business acumen with a strategic perspective; capable of identifying market opportunities and adjusting quickly to change. Proficiency in both English and Italian (verbal and written) is essential.
