People Manager - Branded Coffee

OVERVIEW We are looking for an experienced People Manager to join a growing branded coffee business with over 30 stores across the UK. Backed by private equity and with a new leadership team in place, the business is entering a new phase of growth, and they are looking for a talented HR professional to shape and lead the people function. This is a fantastic role for someone looking to step into a more strategic position with clear progression to Head of People . WHY JOIN THEM Competitive salary of up to £50,000 depending on experience Hybrid working – 3 days per week in the Cheltenham office A role with visibility, autonomy, and genuine influence Clear path to progress into a Head of People position A supportive leadership team and growing brand with exciting plans KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Act as the HR lead for the organisation, supporting head office and store teams across the UK Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and documentation Lead recruitment for operational and support roles Support managers with employee relations, performance management, and team development Deliver a consistent and compliant HR service across the business Manage onboarding, induction and offboarding processes Build an inclusive, values-led culture and promote employee engagement Provide guidance to leadership on people strategy and talent planning Reduce reliance on third-party HR support through improved internal systems REQUIREMENTS Proven experience as a People Manager, HR Manager, or HR Business Partner Background in hospitality, retail, or another fast-paced multi-site environment Strong generalist HR experience, including ER, recruitment, and policy work Hands-on approach and confident operating in a standalone or small-team setting Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills CIPD Level 5 (or working towards it) is desirable but not essential Know someone perfect for this role?
