Job description Job Title: Chef (Care Home) MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A CARE HOME Introduction: We are looking for a positive, passionate, and enthusiastic Chef to join a well-established care home team. Key Responsibilities: Manage an efficient and cost-effective ordering system for provisions and non-consumable items within budgetary limits. Organise and supervise the Catering Department to ensure smooth operations. Maintain food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring all kitchen staff are aware of their responsibilities. Develop and maintain rotational menus that provide choice and meet nutritional requirements within the allocated budget. Prepare and present meals in an appetising manner, following the approved menu cycle. Ensure high standards of meal preparation and presentation for service users, visitors, and staff. Assess food output quality and maintain service user engagement to gather feedback and improve service. Promptly report all complaints related to catering services to the Manager. Cater to special dietary needs and preferences, liaising with the Manager where necessary. Ensure kitchen cleanliness and adherence to hygiene regulations at all times.
