Assistant Portfolio Accountant position at Rendall & Rittner Location Home Based ( attendance to London based meetings) Working hours 37.5 hours weekly Mon- Fri 9.00 am - 5.30 pm Salary Competitive Contract Permanent Who we are? Responsibilities of an Assistant Portfolio Accountant at Rendall & Rittner include Supporting with the preparation of annual heat network accounts to including collation of bank reconciliations and other supporting documentation. Assisting in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for the client. Assisting with set up of new clients onto our financial system. Posting journals to PropMan system. Chasing billing agents and property management teams to obtain data Reconciling billing agent reports to income, expenditure, debtors and cash position, investigating any discrepancies with billing agent. Assisting with raising heat billing demands. Assisting in the preparation of one off reports and the provision of ad hoc accounting information and/or analysis to meet client requirements. Liaising with other stakeholders across the business Assisting with monitoring the cash flow, debtors and outstanding creditors on a regular basis Assisting with accounting for / or oversee Developer Set Up Funding. Provide support with the preparation and control of void service charges. Assisting with providing information for tariff reviews to billing agents and through liaison with the property management team. Assisting with monitoring group email inbox for communication with external and internal stakeholders. Working closely with the Heat Network Senior Portfolio Accountant to the portfolio is kept up to date, information is recorded accurately, and deadlines are met. Good knowledge of accounting systems (Propman software desirable) as well as advance MS Excel skills. Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to understand, interpret and prepare complex reports and plans; including financial reporting, budgeting, work scheduling, workload allocation and performance planning.
