Rooftop Bar Supervisor

Salary: £competitive Contracted hours: Full time Located on the top level of the Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge Hotel we look forward to providing international visitors and the people of Edinburgh with laid back comfort where the drinks flow liberally. Drinks are freshly prepared with flair from the bar. The staff are professional, down to earth and chatty in a cozy and elegant venue, not to mention our outdoor terrace seating too. Sharing boards of Scottish charcuterie and our wee plates menu offer an insight into this artisanal heaven of local produce. Open to the Public and for Private hire, youll be passionate about all things food, drinks, and providing great service in an upmarket setting with fast-paced service. Well be looking for proactive and friendly personalities to help lead our close-knit team. Main Tasks & responsibilities Serving guests and creating positive experiences Manage all bills and payments correctly Prepare food, clean, tidy, restock, take deliveries, and organize BOH areas Follow all food safety, licensing and health and safety policies to work safely Cook and prepare meals to standard Prepare exceptional Cocktails to standard Effective sales skills to up-sell products and services Provides excellent customer service Supporting other team members and management Promote and support the bar and wider hotel Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10kg without assistance. Assisting Bar Manager with daily operations and forward planning Performing consistent training with the bar team members Ensuring standards are maintained and daily/weekly/monthly tasks are completed We are looking for someone who: Is passionate about leading and developing a team Has creative input into a drinks offering Is looking to advance their career in hospitality Is eager to learn management tasks of running a bar Is keen to assist with rotas, ordering, stock control & recruitment Useful Experience Experience of supervising a team within the Hospitality industry Supervising shifts without manager presence Handling reservations via systems such as Open Table Knowledgeof POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros Knowledge of Food Safety & Licensing laws Knowledge of a wide range of drinks Cocktail Making Experience Basic Food Preparation Experience BENEFITS FOR YOU!
