TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wilmington, North Carolina, 28401! Pay Information $1,957 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: NC or Compact License required Certifications: BCLS required Must-Have: - MED/Surg experience - Telemetry remote monitoring - Use of Rapid Response Team - IV insulin protocols - Colostomy care - Feeding tube care and management - Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management - Blood product administration - Central line blood draw - Peripheral line care and management - Phlebotomy - PICC line management - Starting IVs - Heparin - PCA - Chest tubes management - CPAP/BiPAP - High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) - Nasal Cannula - Non-invasive airway management - Oral suctioning - Oxygen face masks - Portable oxygen tank - Isolation precautions - Wound care/Wound vac Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a cancellation. Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work during catastrophic events or disasters. Consolidation to the centralized office mid-contract may occur. Contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed. Floating among units is required as per unit needs. Work may include weekends, with 12-16 weekend shifts per contract. Typical patient diagnoses include dementia, diabetes, COVID, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, anemia, and hip fracture. Isolation area for COVID patients is present. Medication, documentation, and communication systems include Pyxis and Epic. Target nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5-6. Candidates must be willing to float based on unit needs. Navy and white scrubs are required. EKG testing must be passed prior to the start of the assignment. Flu vaccine required unless exempt for medical or religious reasons. Candidates must complete all testing within 48 hours after signing. Completion of required modules prior to starting is necessary. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. No RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment. All testing must be completed within specified timeframes.
