Janitorial Full-time (Ewa Beach & Kapolei)

Job Description Job Description We are looking to hire a highly motivated individual, dependable, trustworthy, good customer service and detail-oriented to join Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM). The full-time Janitorial position is responsible maintaining cleanliness of the building based on assigned cleaning duties for the two locations Ewa Beach and Kapolei on Oahu, HI. Key responsibilities: Use a ladder to climb up on higher surfaces Maintain high standard of cleanliness of assigned duties (sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, scrub, wipe down areas, clean parking lot, and paint designated areas) Empty trash receptacles, wastebaskets, recyclables and properly dispose to designated area. Use a power wash machine Multi-task, work efficiently both independently and as a team Follow safety procedures Uphold a high standard of professionalism and customer service at all times Use a ladder to climb up higher surfaces Communicate effectively with supervisor, co-workers, vendors and property manager Report safety issues or building problems (i.e. burnt light bulbs, etc.) Notify appropriate HBM employee of the supplies and equipment that are needed for cleaning duties. Perform all other duties as assigned Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 5:00am-3:30pm and Monday 6:00am-1:30pm (38 hours a week) Compensation: $17.00/per hour Skills/Qualifications: High school diploma/GED preferred Previous janitorial, custodian experience or related experience is preferred, and willing to train. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English Must have good public relations skills and communication Applicants must perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, frequently lift, push, pull, carry a minimum of 30lbs (up to 50lbs), be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, stair and ladder climbing and stand throughout their shifts.
