Pay Information $2,590 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - OR Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Surgical Services Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10 Hour Variable Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: 2 years of OR Level 1 or 2 trauma experience License: Registered Nurse (RN) - State Board of Nursing Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: EPIC charting experience preferred Description: General information: - 12 operating rooms staffed Monday to Friday, with varying hours. - 20 pre-operative bays and 14 post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) bays. - Surgical patient types include urology, neurology, orthopedics, robotics, general surgery, podiatry, and ENT. - Pre-operative and post-operative recovery (Phase I and Phase II) required, including some ICU-level care. - Patient Ratios: OR at 1:1, Pre-Op at 1:2, PACU Phase I at 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity, and PACU Phase II at 1:2-3. - Required skills include orthopedic trauma practices (ORIF, external fixators, amputations), neurological procedures (craniotomy, spinal surgeries), and robotics (DaVinci XI). - Experience in a tertiary care center is essential. - Pre-Op and PACU experience required, including ICU skill set in PACU. - Float as needed to pre-operative, PACU, or floor areas, providing assistance when necessary. - Orientation for all specialties lasts 1 week. - Weekend rotation will be included, ideally with one overnight call shift per week and every third weekend. - Holiday expectations require coverage for 2 out of 4 major holidays. - Time off approval will need to be coordinated with management. - Scrubs will be provided. 27835100EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS BLS Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing A diverse range of assignments on your resume showcases your adaptability, versatility, and resilience.
