Anesthesiologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Hospital in Lubbock, Texas

About the facility A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage. About the facility location While in Lubbock, Texas, visit the National Ranching Heritage Center, the Silent Wings Museum, or the McPherson Cellars Winery! About the clinician's workday Were working with a facility that uses a care team model with 3 MDs and 7 CRNAs across 14 points of service. Locums will not be responsible for cardiac or pediatric cases, as those are handled by dedicated specialty teams. The team handles a wide variety of casesabout 11,000 annuallyincluding OB (2,200 deliveries/year), GYN, general surgery, ortho, ENT, neuro, urology, endo, major vascular, trauma, plastics, and more. Regional anesthesia is routinely performed with a full range of upper and lower extremity blocks. The EMR is Epic (live since March 2022). Call is typically two per week, including 12 weekends per month and participation in a night float system (7p7a for 7 nights in a row, about 3 weeks per year). OB and first call are in-house due to volume. Credentialing takes about 90 days, with temps available in emergency situations.
