Senior Social Media & Content Executive • Full time • Manchester based • Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE About the Role GigPig is hiring a Senior Social Media & Content Executive to lead our organic growth across social and email. You’ll take ownership of planning, producing and publishing content that connects directly with our two key audiences: artists and venues.This is a hands-on, high-energy role for someone who’s just as comfortable scripting and editing as they are showing up confidently on camera at gigs. We need someone flexible, independent and creative who can manage their own time working evenings or weekends when needed to capture real moments that reflect the pulse of the UK’s seed music scene. About GigPig Driven by the belief that every venue can be a stage, GigPig is the fastest growing live music and entertainment marketplace, gig management and booking platform. Designed specifically to empower hospitality operators and gigging musicians, it currently facilitates around 2000 seed music gigs in the UK every weekend. What You’ll Be Doing Content Creation & On-Camera Plan, script, film and edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Stories) Host, introduce or interview on-camera at gigs and events Use tools like CapCut or Canva to edit and publish Represent the GigPig brand at live events Social Media Management (Organic) Own the content calendar and weekly schedule across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn & Facebook Write smart, engaging captions tailored to each audience, venues and artists Monitor trends, react in real time, and grow our organic reach Identify opportunities for growth through insights, trends and competitor benchmarking Report on performance and optimise for engagement and growth Light-touch community management (DMs, mentions, comments) Written Content Write and build engaging newsletters targeting both artists and venues Contribute to occasional blog writing (e.g. artist interviews, feature stories, platform tips) Support light website content management (e.g. landing page copy, updates, tone-of-voice consistency) Ensure all written content aligns with GigPig’s tone, voice and brand story Planning & Flexibility Work closely with the Marketing Manager to plan and deliver against weekly content goals Be available to attend evening gigs and occasional weekend events as needed to capture real-time content Own and maintain a shared content calendar and meet agreed deadlines Additional days may be agreed during campaign peaks What You’ll Need 2 years experience in social media and content creation Proven results growing brand channels organically Confident, professional on-camera presence Strong copywriting skills across social media, email, and blog formats Fluency in TikTok, Instagram and email tools Experience with CapCut, Canva or similar editing platforms A self-starter attitude with a passion for live music and authentic storytelling Salary and benefits £25,000 - £30,000 DOE Full-time contract with flexible hybrid working (Manchester city centre based) Travel expenses for on-location filming Join a fast-growing, purpose-driven startup shaping the future of live music and hospitality To Apply Please send the below to careers@gigpig.uk : CV and a short intro (written or video) Examples of your content work Anything else that shows us why you’d be a great fit for GigPig
