Job description Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Landscape Architect to lead and manage high-end residential and small commercial landscape architecture projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of design principles, construction processes, and client relationship management, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results on luxury property developments. This role requires leadership, creative problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects from concept through completion. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all phases of project delivery, including concept design, schematic development, construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration. Lead and mentor a team of landscape architects, designers, and support staff to ensure design excellence and project efficiency. Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet client expectations and profitability targets. Serve as the primary client liaison, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborate with high-end residential clients, developers, architects, contractors, and consultants to deliver integrated and cohesive project solutions. Conduct site visits for analysis, progress reviews, and quality control during construction. Oversee preparation of detailed design documents including planting plans, hardscape designs, lighting plans, specifications, and construction details. Ensure all projects comply with local codes, zoning regulations, and permitting requirements. Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively resolving issues before they impact timelines or budgets. Lead presentations to clients, review boards, and internal stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field. Professional Landscape Architect license (preferred but not required). 10 years of progressive experience in landscape architecture project management, with a focus on high-end residential and small commercial developments. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and landscape detailing. Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Lumion and Revit is a plus. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and client management skills. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget targets. Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills. Strong business acumen and financial management capabilities.
