Superintendent (Broward County)

Summary We are seeking a Construction Superintendent with proven experience in high-end restaurant, hospitality, and retail projects. This role is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and the ability to deliver fast-paced, design-driven projects on time and within budget while maintaining a clean, organized, and safety-compliant jobsite. Roles and Responsibilities Participate in project Turnover Meetings with the estimator and project team to ensure smooth handoff and alignment on scope. Serve as the primary on-site liaison between ownership, landlords, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, client vendors, and the Project Manager. Review and verify critical dimensions, identify potential problem areas, assess sequencing and manpower needs, and address scheduling concerns. Collaborate with the Project Manager to update construction schedules and coordinate on-site labor and cost tracking. Enforce safety protocols and lead weekly jobsite safety meetings to ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards. Plan and conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings to align progress and resolve field issues. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite environment in accordance with company standards. Manage and complete all required documentation, including daily field reports, weekly safety logs, change orders, and RFIs. Foster and maintain positive relationships with all jobsite personnel, promoting teamwork and collaboration. Schedule and coordinate all required inspections to ensure timely approvals and continued progress. Oversee and enforce quality control measures to ensure all work meets company and project specifications. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises one project at a time, subcontractors, and field personnel on the jobsite. Qualifications/ Requirements Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse groups and roles. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and consistently meet deadlines in fast-paced environments. Highly organized and adaptable, capable of maintaining structure and focus amid changing project demands. Solid understanding of core building trades and construction methods, with hands-on knowledge of field operations. Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and layouts. Experienced with Procore project management software and other construction technology tools.
