Job Description

Director of Sales - InterContinental Singapore Lead and manage the function of Sales (Corporate, MICE, Leisure, Catering Sales, and Events Management) to maximise performance through total revenue generation and achieve budget revenue. Your Day to Day Direct Sales team to manage account base to maximise performance across all revenue streams (Rooms, Catering & Banquet, and Food & Beverage) Develop sales strategies and action plans to ensure implementation, monitor results, and achieve goals – including launching tactical promotions if required Develop a solid understanding of numbers to evaluate revenue performance, understand profit contribution to GOP, and monitor sales department’s impact on hotel profitability Evaluate business potential and opportunities in new geographical markets and segments Participate in preparing the annual departmental operating budget, hotel marketing plan, business plan, and financial plans Monitor competitors’ activities and assist in gathering marketing intelligence Build profile within the local marketplace through attendance at events and industry gatherings Engage with guests and customers at various functions and social events Foster a positive, productive work environment; motivate and lead an effective, engaged team Coach and mentor the Sales team, developing personal development plans for current role improvement or career progression Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders Collaborate with leadership to ensure quality product delivery, improve customer experience, and maximise revenue and profit Travel as required to promote the hotel and develop markets Manage individual development plans and address performance gaps Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales & Marketing or management What we need from you Diploma/Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related field Minimum 5 years’ sales experience, preferably in luxury hotel or hospitality Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills Passion, enthusiasm, and results-driven attitude Problem-solving and decision-making skills In-depth knowledge of sales principles and techniques Strategic and tactical thinking abilities Awareness of market trends and consumer behaviour to create strategic opportunities Don't quite meet every requirement but believe you're a great fit?
