What you'll be up to: The VIC Sales Director - Agency drives QMS Media’s revenue growth across the Victorian Agency consortium. Leading a high-performing sales team, this role focuses on strategic leadership, strong agency relationships, and aligning sales strategies with business goals. Working closely with the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), you’ll help grow media revenue across all products, ensuring market competitiveness and ongoing client engagement. This is a key role for an experienced media sales leader ready to drive QMS Media’s growth. You will also be responsible for the following: Lead strategy execution, cross-department coordination, and sales team leadership to achieve KPIs. Develop and execute strategic business plans with the CRO to exceed revenue targets. Lead key client negotiations on yearly laydowns, partnerships, contras, and major briefs. Oversee daily sales operations. Regularly review and optimise team portfolios. Support the VIC Agency team in achieving sales targets across all QMS Media products. Provide weekly sales reports, variance analysis, and projections to the CRO. Ensure timely and accurate VIC Agency sales forecasting in Boostr. Use sales data and market insights to refine strategy and drive results. Report on market trends impacting revenue, including budget or strategy shifts. Identify revenue gaps and implement corrective actions. Build strong agency and client partnerships by engaging in their strategic planning processes. Build strong relationships with key decision-makers across agency groups. Maintain active market presence and engage with clients at all levels, including C-suite. Foster senior agency relationships across strategy, creative, and marketing teams. Identify new clients and growth areas to drive VIC agency revenue. What we’re looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred). 7 years of sales experience in the media industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Strong agency relationships and networks across the VIC Agency market Proven sales, negotiation, and communication skills. Strong commercial acumen with budgeting and data analysis expertise. Deep OOH industry knowledge with a client-focused, solutions-driven approach. Experienced in leading, coaching, and motivating high-performance teams. Skilled in managing teams across multiple functions. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong networker with confidence engaging key decision-makers. Encourages collaboration and teamwork. Listens well and values feedback and takes ownership and accountability. Curious, proactive, and enthusiastic. Commercially savvy and analytical.
