Chef Manager - Doncaster Location: Yorkshire Way, Armthorpe, Doncaster, DN3 3FQ Salary: £33,000 per annum Hours: 5 over 7, mixed shifts (predominantly Monday-Friday) Lead with Passion. Cook with Purpose. Deliver with Excellence. We’re looking for a passionate and driven Chef Manager to lead our on-site culinary operation at one of our key contracts in Doncaster. If you're a skilled chef with management experience who thrives in a high-volume, quality-driven environment— this is your chance to shine. You’ll be at the heart of everything food on-site—leading, inspiring, and rolling up your sleeves to deliver great food and great service every day. What You’ll Be Doing Leading a 12-person team to deliver daily food service to 350 customers across breakfast, lunch, dinner, and night shift offerings Cooking and presenting fresh dishes to high standards Managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including: Stock, ordering, and food cost control Team training, compliance, rotas, and development Health & Safety, food safety (HACCP), allergen management GP monitoring and food waste minimisation Delivering excellent client communication and adapting to on-site requirements Managing hospitality services , ensuring presentation and service standards match client expectations Maintaining cleanliness and ensuring full compliance with Compass HSE and Food Safety policies Delivering promotions, up-selling where appropriate, and identifying commercial opportunities What We’re Looking For Proven culinary background with hands-on cooking experience Previous management or team leader experience in a catering environment Strong understanding of compliance, HSE, and food safety regulations Confident with ordering, stock control, and driving profitability through efficient kitchen management A collaborative leader - able to motivate and coach others Excellent communication skills and client-facing professionalism Nice to Have: NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent Food Hygiene Level 2 or above Experience working in B&I or contract catering sectors Perks & Benefits Free meals on shift Free on-site parking Uniform provided Access to Perks at Work - discounts & wellbeing support No Christmas or Bank Holiday working Interview Process 1st Stage: Microsoft Teams 2nd Stage: On-site interview & trade test Join Us at Eurest!
