The Cheshire Cheese sits at the heart of the City of London, and we’re on the hunt for a General Manager ready to take this pub to the next level. Just a short walk from Tower Hill underground and Fenchurch Street station , The Cheshire Cheese is a favourite with l ocal professionals and a great stop-off for tourists exploring the Tower of London or heading into the City. With plenty of competition all around, we’re looking for a commercially sharp , creative operato r who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to stand out from the crowd. Spread across two floors, the pub benefits from Sky Sports viewing on both levels, a dedicated "Darts Zone" with three boards, and a newly refurbished interior following a significant investment last year. It’s a great-looking business with huge potential still to unlock—especially when it comes to food and events . The upstairs bar is a hidden gem , and we need a General Manager who can bring it to life—working closely with our PBS team to drive bookings, open up the second bar, and create more reasons for guests to choose The Cheshire Cheese. Ideally, social media and on-site messaging will be a real strength, and we want someone who knows how to get creative with campaigns, with a firm focus on driving the sports programme agenda to a whole new level – The sky is the limit! You’ll be the heart of the team —bringing the energy, setting the standards, and leading from the front. Hands-on, sharp-eyed, and full of personality . You’ll have the “craic” with guests and team alike, building a supportive and respectful culture that’s fun, guest centric and growth focused.
