Now Hiring: Registered Nurses – Pediatric ICU (Critical Care) Syracuse, NY Start Date: June 27 End Date: September 24 Shift: 12-Hour Nights Schedule: Every Other Weekend & 2 of 3 Major Holidays Excessive time off and fixed weekly schedules cannot be approved Position Overview: ACI Health is seeking 2 highly skilled and compassionate RNs to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team on the night shift. This is a perfect fit for nurses with critical care pediatric experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma settings who thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments. Key Responsibilities: ✔ Deliver family-centered, age-appropriate care to critically ill pediatric patients ✔ Perform detailed assessments and document findings in the EMR ✔ Create and evaluate individualized nursing care plans ✔ Administer medications and treatments per protocols ✔ Collaborate with physicians, RTs, and interdisciplinary care teams ✔ Communicate effectively with families during high-stress situations ✔ Use EPIC EMR for documentation (preferred) ✔ Monitor and promptly respond to changes in patient condition ✔ Follow trauma protocols and uphold best practices in pediatric care A confident nurse who can step into a high-acuity unit with minimal orientation Skilled in a wide range of PICU procedures and protocols Committed to evidence-based practice and continuous professional growth Comfortable working night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed If you're ready to make a difference in the lives of our most vulnerable patients, we want to hear from you!
