Country Manager Italy - Safestay Hostels & Hotels Company Description Safestay Hostels & Hotels is continuing to grow, with already 19 properties across the UK and Europe. We are now expanding to Naples for our second location in Italy, housed in a historic former monastery in the lively Materdei district. The property will accommodate up to 300 guests at full capacity. At Safestay, we believe travel should be an enriching experience for all. We’ve created vibrant hostels that offer Room for Everyone . Our spaces bring together solo travelers, groups, and families from around the world, providing affordable, comfortable, and social environments in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a General Manager based in Naples. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the hostel’s operations, including the pre-opening phase, managing staff, ensuring excellent guest experiences, and driving financial performance. Responsibilities also include recruiting and training staff, managing budgets, ensuring health and safety compliance, and fostering a strong team culture. Qualifications Relevant experience in hospitality management (hostels, hotels, tourism, or events) Strong leadership, staff management, and team-building skills Experience in customer service and guest relations Knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and cost control Operational management and problem-solving capabilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Fluent in Italian and English (additional languages are a plus) Note: The sections listing other job titles are irrelevant to this specific role and should be removed for clarity.
