Job Description
Hotel Manager Job Description The Manager, in close liaison with the Directors, will oversee all hotel departments, managing segments including lodging, food and beverages, human resources, housekeeping, gardens, maintenance, and other guest services. Responsibilities include employee management, customer service, and quality control. Reports to: Directors. Job Duties Hotel Management Ensure the hotel is well managed and profitably operated, maintaining cleanliness, security, and safety. Coordinate with the Reservation Manager to maintain and update booking charts. Liaise with Directors on procurement of supplies, materials, and equipment. Arrange maintenance and repairs for buildings and facilities. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel, hiring contractors as needed. Manage supplies, ensuring they are in good condition and stocked. Implement operational policies, processes, and procedures. Prepare departmental paperwork and document procedures. Collaborate with the Chef to prepare menus, manage food costs, and consumption. Perform additional tasks as assigned by Directors. Customer Service Maintain high standards to ensure positive guest experiences and resolve issues. Conduct daily inspections of rooms, kitchens, laundry, and other areas to ensure compliance. Greet and brief guests, conduct surveys, and address concerns. Stay informed about local activities to assist guests in bookings and recommendations. Coordinate events and ensure safety and security at all times. Human Resources Train and induct new staff members. Maintain employee records and performance reports. Develop procedures and job descriptions for staff. Set goals and organize performance appraisals. Manage departments including housekeeping, F&B, security, and front office. Monitor staff schedules and conduct regular meetings. Financial Responsibilities Ensure collection of revenues and issuance of receipts. Maintain stock levels and update inventories. Manage payroll, billing, and expenses. Facilitate payments and prepare hotel budgets. Offer complimentary stays only with prior approval. Rules for Management Meals are to be consumed before guest arrival or after service completion. No take-away food or drinks allowed in non-restaurant areas, except water. Management must be available during meal times for staff or guest needs. Employment Details Contract: Full-time Salary: €1,500 - €2,500 per month Benefits include accommodation, meal vouchers, company cell phone and computer, pension fund.
