Strengthen our HR Payroll Team Austria in our office in Klagenfurt or from Home Office with your commitment as a Lead Payroll Specialist (M / F / d) with Focus on Italian, Spanish & French Payroll In this exciting position, you will be responsible for providing consistent and timely guidance to a team of Payroll and Senior Payroll specialists to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for entities within OpenText, including country-specific payrolls. This involves utilizing your experience with OpenText’s payroll and HCM platforms to monitor team activities related to payroll inputs, reconcile payroll output reports, verify benefit invoices against payroll outputs, perform accrual balance analysis, and updates. You will also act as a delegate of the Geo Payroll manager for daily operations or special projects. This is what awaits you with us Support a team of payroll professionals by providing expertise and guidance to develop and maintain a consistent and controlled approach to payroll processing and reporting. The Geo Payroll Manager will rely on this position to handle daily payroll processing guidance and delegate special projects (e.g., pension, reporting, audit tasks). Manage end-to-end processing of Italian, Spanish, and French payrolls and maintain operational responsibilities, leveraging your broader experience across other EMEA payrolls. Establish process consistency within the team and serve as a mentor to team members. Lead internal and external audit activities related to payroll. Build and maintain a network of key stakeholders to foster consensus on issues and process improvements. Support regional and global payroll projects, including implementing legislative changes and streamlining processes across all EMEA regions. This is what we expect from you A completed degree, college diploma, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 8 years of direct payroll experience. Strong knowledge of global and country-specific payroll tax processes for Italy, Spain, and France. Payroll professional certification (CPA, FPC, CIPP) is preferred. Ability to identify, escalate, and recommend corrective actions for risks and issues. Leadership skills to manage complex issues involving other functions. Effective communication skills with vendors, auditors, and stakeholders, with proficiency in multiple languages. Experience with payroll software such as ADP GlobalView, Streamline, Celergo, SAP SuccessFactors HCM, Microsoft Office, or finance general ledger systems is beneficial. Excellent proficiency in English and Italian; French or Spanish skills are a plus. The gross minimum salary for this position is EUR 3,600 per month. Depending on qualifications and experience, there is potential for overpayment.
